2009 State Basketball Tournament Results

Four new MAAA basketball champs were crowned on Saturday March 14th at Romulus. In class A Mt. Morris defeated Ferndale. In class B Crossroad from Kentwood defeated Romulus. In class C Muskegon Heights defeated the Breakfast Club from Hazel Park. In class D Grand Blanc defeated Jackson Northeast.

Fourth Annual Basketball All-Star Game

The MAAA presented its 4th annual All-Star Game on March 26th at 1pm at the Palace of Auburn Hills. This game featured the best alternative basketball players from all over the state. Schools involved were The Breakfast Club from Hazel Park

State Volleyball Tournament

The 2008 State Volleyball Tournament was held on December 13th at Mt. Pleasant High School. The Girl's Division was held first with Portage defeating Phoenix of Jonesville for the championship. For the first time a consolation tournament was held and Cooley of Cadillac won the consolation championship. Twelve teams competed for the girl's championship.

In the Open Championship eleven teams competed with Portage defeating Discovery of Wyoming for the Championship. Fulton won the consolation championship.


2008 State Flag Football Tournament

This year's state flag football champion is the team from Romulus. Romulus beat Bay Arenac in the Championship Game. The tournament took place on November 7th at Alma College A total of twelve teams competed for the championship.

2008 State Disc Golf Tournament

This year's state disc golf tournament will be held on October 17, 2008 at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. Teams consist of 5 players of any combination of men and women. There will be medals for the top ten scorers.

The host for the tournament will be Jeff Platte.
